Introducing our Basil Chickpea Pesto – a fresh take on the classic recipe that elevates your pasta, salads, or sandwiches. Bursting with aromatic basil, it’s a celebration of flavors for both garlic enthusiasts and those preferring a milder alternative. Enjoy a taste of culinary joy that transforms every dish into a masterpiece!


Ingredients

Scale

3 cups of basil (fresh, leaves only, pack the cups tightly)

1 clove of garlic (minced) (omit, if your digestion doesn’t like garlic or you are healing)

1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas (canned and drained)

2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast

2 tbsp Lemon Juice (or 3 tbsp)


Instructions

  1. Mince the garlic
  2. Add all ingredients to the food processor or mixer – blend to desired consistency

Notes

Optional Add-Ins

1 pinch of sea salt (optional – be careful – nutritional yeast is salty)

Water or Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil to taste to make it thinner & creamier

Pine nuts, raw almonds, or raw walnuts (to add additional protein & an additional flavor)
