Ingredients
Scale
2–3 medium apples (Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp work beautifully)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
A squeeze of lemon juice (optional, helps preserve color)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and core the apple, then cut it into thin slices. You’ll want the slices really thin, so cut carefully with a paring knife.
- Toss slices in a bowl of cinnamon and a touch of lemon juice for extra zing and color retention (optional).
- Place the apple slices onto a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake low and slow for 1.5 to 2 hours, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on them toward the end. They should be dry and crisp.
- Cool completely before storing. They’ll crisp up more as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week (if they last that long! 😉)
